• Validated methods — The expert can name the applied technique (e.g., CQT) and the way of evaluation.
• Honest approach to results — Talks about the possibility of inconclusive results and does not promise „100% certainty”.
• Respect for consent and GDPR — Written consent, clear data processing rules.

Warning signs

• promises of „99% accuracy” without a source or „results recognized by the court with 100% certainty”;
• failure to provide certificates or memberships;
• pressure to examine someone „by force” without their consent;
• instructions on „how to cheat a polygraph” as part of the offer.

Each of these points is a reason to look for someone else. Honest boundaries are a sign of competence, not weakness.
